Welcome to the first edition of ESOR News in 2018
Below, you will find announcements of all the activities planned during 2018. The 2018 programme is full of complementary, interactive, and accredited programmes for residents, board-certified radiologists, and their allied specialists. Those programmes help ensure that young radiologists are provided with enough opportunities to improve their knowledge and share their professional development.

Visiting Scholarship Programmes – Get to know another training environment
The Visiting Scholarship Programmes have gained international renown and appreciation over the last few years. During the three-month duration of the scholarships, successful candidates benefit from mentored modular training in a specific area of diagnostic radiology. This programme is aimed at radiologists in training.
Applications will be accepted from February 19 to March 12, 2018. You can find out all details about the programme on the ESOR website.

Exchange Programmes for Fellowships
ESOR, in partnership with subspecialty societies, offers a range of exchange programmes for young radiologists, who recently board-certified.

Visiting Professorship Programmes within the ESR Support Initiative 2018
The ESR Support Initiative, launched and announced in November 2014, aims to improve access to radiological training and educational resources for aspiring physicians and scientists in less affluent regions in Europe, with the goal of ensuring better healthcare for future generations in those regions. In 2018, Armenia was selected by the ESR Board of Directors as the fourth country to take part in this initiative.
To support this initiative, ESOR will organise two Visiting Professorships in 2018, one in Armenia and one on the occasion of the Balkan Congress of Radiology in Kuşadası, Turkey.

Astana Tutorial
The aim of the ESOR Tutorials is to further the experience of young radiologists, residents in their late years of training and board-certified radiologists, in daily radiological routine through exchange and intense teaching in the Central Asian reference centre. The ESOR Astana Tutorial 2018 will be organised by the National Research Cardiac Surgery Centre in Astana under the chairmanship of Dr. T. Dautov.
May 28–June 8, 2018
