Dear Colleagues,
Welcome to the first 2017 issue of ESR@Work and a belated happy New Year to all of you!
For
the ESR, this year has started off as actively as the last one ended,
namely with many fruitful discussions at the ESR Executive Council and
Board of Directors meetings on January 20 in Vienna. The ESR electronic
elections for the next changes in office ended yesterday, Sunday,
January 29, and the elected officers will assume their positions at the
close of the ESR General Assembly during ECR on March 5. I would like to
take the opportunity to congratulate all elected officers in advance.

The ECR 2017 has not even started, yet a preliminary educational programme for ECR 2018 has already been drafted.
In
other words, the first working group meeting of the Programme Planning
Committee (PPC) for 2018 in Vienna on December 9 was a real success.
