Invest in the Youth

The ESR is thrilled to announce that, once again, 1,000 young radiologists, physicists undertaking PhDs and radiographers in training will receive free registration to ECR 2018 and up to 4 nights of hotel accommodation in Vienna. Application for Invest in the Youth and Student Abstract Submission will be possible from July 3 until October 10.

EuroSafe Imaging

The ESR is pleased to announce the publication of the EuroSafe Imaging Checklist "Managing a safe CT service" in Portuguese. It has been developed to aid radiologists, radiographers and other professionals in providing safe CT services to patients. The checklist details the most important aspects of workflow management and dealing with patients, and includes self-assessment questions for CT radiographers and imaging departments. First Digital Imaging Adoption Model (DIAM) workshop in the UK

The DIAM experts group has started the preparations for the first DIAM workshop in the UK, which takes place in London on June 30. Project experts will give presentations on different DIAM key focus areas, including topics like interoperability, workflows or deep learning. Read more here.

Third WHO Global Forum on Medical Devices

The Third WHO Global Forum on Medical Devices focused on sharing evidence of best practices and achievements in the field, demonstrating the development and use of innovative, appropriate and affordable technologies to respond to global health priorities, and discussing challenges.
The International Society of Radiology (ISR) hosted a workshop focused on the importance of developing regional campaigns such as EuroSafe Imaging. Read more here and also check out the poster presented at the conference.

ESOR/ESTRO ASKLEPIOS Course on Multidisciplinary Approach to Cancer Imaging, November 2 - 3, 2017; Rome/Italy
