Message from the Chairman of the ESR Board of Directors
Dear ESR Member, Dear Colleague, Dear Friend,
As the year is coming to a close, it is time to reflect on what the ESR has achieved and what is still ahead of us for the remainder of our working year until ECR. 2018 has been a year of records both for our society and our congress.
European Society of Radiology looks back on successful International Day of Radiology 2018
The International Day of Radiology (IDOR) was celebrated for the seventh time on November 8, this year focusing on cardiac imaging, and was joined by individual supporters and more than 170 radiology-related professional societies all around the world.
The new IDOR book ‘The HEART revealed. Radiology in the diagnosis and management of cardiac conditions’ is available on the website as downloadable pdf. Under the editorial leadership of Professor Jens Bremerich, Switzerland, and Dr. Rodrigo Salgado, Belgium, 41 authors from all over the world contributed to the book. In addition, 43 interviews with cardiac imaging experts from different countries, conducted by the ESR, have been published on the IDoR webpage.
The ESR Board of Directors and the entire ESR staff are deeply saddened following the news of Professor Michel Claudon's passing. He was a remarkable and highly-accomplished member of our society and he will be dearly missed by all of us. We also extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends at this time.
